When Francisco started his profession, he never thought he would be interested in working with children. His plan was to make a secure living by working at a hospital or a rehab center, but that quickly became boring for Francisco. Fortunately, he was able to find a rehab facility where he worked with a middle-aged population and was able to work on higher-level activities with his patients. That facility then transitioned from an adult rehab to a pediatric rehab center. The transition was very uncomfortable for Francisco because he didn't have much experience in handling children and pediatrics was not the path he was seeking. But, he stuck with it because it was a challenge and it was very fun for him.

That company then opened a new facility that specialized in neuro rehab, so Francisco decided to give that a try. Eventually, he became Director of Rehab of that facility. The experience made it apparent to Francisco that he preferred to be more hands-on in his work. He then decided to combine his passion for neurodevelopment and pediatrics and started working at an outpatient pediatric facility. Francisco expressed that he really enjoyed working there, but didn’t like there wasn’t continuity of care that he was looking for. Francisco is now thrilled to be a part of the Tilton’s Therapy team where he will be able to follow his passion and the continued development of his patients in a home environment.
