Mickie is a COTA of 9 years who grew up outside of Fort Worth, Texas. When asked why she was originally drawn or inspired to pursue this profession, Mickie says, “I always wanted to be in healthcare in some capacity my entire life. After my mother passed away, I wanted to be a healthcare provider so I could provide people with empathy, kindness, and caring like the many nurses and doctors showed my mom throughout her healthcare journey.” She also stated that she loves neuroplasticity and early intervention and is a strong believer and advocate for early intervention.

In her free time, Mickie loves going to concerts, traveling throughout the United States for concerts, and visiting loved ones. Boston is one of her favorite cities to visit in the US. She says that she loves the rich history it has as being one of the places where our country's battle for independence began. Mickie moved to Las Vegas in 2021 and says, “I love the city's diversity and inclusion of all cultures and races.”
