Shannon has worked as a pediatric OT for 10 years. She knew she wanted to work with kids, and when she graduated from college, she started shadowing at an outpatient pediatric clinic and immediately fell in love with the profession. Soon after, she applied to grad school.

She likes to build rapport with patients and their families, whether through laughter and being silly, family pets, or favorite characters. Their feedback is important to her, and she considers them to be the experts on their child.

In her spare time, Shannon loves creating art and any opportunity to be creative, gardening, hiking with her dog, and spending time with her family. She was born and raised in Reno and has always felt it is a special place, loving how it is close to the Lake Tahoe area and has "all-you-can-eat" sushi.
