Simran was born in India and moved to California when she was 12 years old. She finished high school in the Bay Area and moved to Irvine for her undergraduate studies. Ever since Simran was young, she says that she “knew that I wanted to one day work in the healthcare field.” Thus, during her undergraduate career, she participated in as many opportunities as she could to advance her career. Simran was a part of a research lab that studied coma recovery. She did an internship at a local hospital in Orange County. She was a board member of the Biological Sciences Student Affairs Club and also taught Occupational Therapy-based karate to kids with special needs.

When it was time for Simran to graduate and decide what she wanted to do next, she could not stop thinking about how happy teaching OT-based karate made her compared to all the other opportunities she had participated in. As Simran learned more and more about OT, she knew this would be the right career for her.

Several years later, she graduated from OT school and says she “is excited to be a part of this wonderful and supportive team at Tilton's Therapy.”

Some of Simran’s favorite occupations include spending time with her family, taking her dog on walks, learning how to cook, baking gluten-free desserts, drinking a fresh cup of coffee on the patio, and having a nice brunch on the weekend.
