Toleda Hicks was born and raised in Las Vegas, where she has lived all her life. She is single, has two adult children, and four grandchildren. She served in the Army for 7.5 years.

Her professional background includes experience in adult and juvenile corrections and mental health. She also worked with the Department of Family Services as a Developmental Assistant and with the Department of Child and Family Services as a Treatment Home Provider at a PRTF. She has two months of industry experience and approximately 15+ years in similar positions.

She was inspired to enter the profession by the belief that individuals should care about others, helping and not harming. The aspect she values most about her profession is the client-centered, one-on-one approach.

Toleda has worked in rehab, acute, and school-based settings. She has given back to the profession by volunteering her time to help or support projects that involve children, believing that time is the most valuable gift to give a child.

In her spare time, she enjoys puzzles, Legos, camping, and spending time with her grandchildren, family, and good friends.
