A Letter from Our CEO

Ask most therapists why they strive to become a therapist. Most will say some variation of wanting to help people and make a difference. When has the notation of wanting to help people become so cliche, but aren't the best cliches based on powerful truths that have become simple notions? This was the same for our owner and founder, occupational therapist Debbie Tilton. She took this concept to its core, reflecting on how she could make the most impact in the lives of her clients and how that occurs where they are best positioned to receive the help they need. Where else are we most comfortable and able to let our guard down but our own homes? She married these concepts by delivering exceptional healthcare to homes, and anywhere that feels like home for our clients. As with anything good, it became a magnet for others looking for the same, and Tilton's Therapy for Tots was born. Our therapists are centered around a mission to deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions in the natural environment because everyone deserves convenient and quality healthcare.

Long before Amazon Prime delivery and Uber Eats made home deliveries the norm, Tilton's Therapy for Tots took its innovative healthcare delivery model to the road. It expanded services throughout the years from occupational therapy to speech therapy and, finally, physical therapy in 2017. The trifecta of holistic client-centered care was finally accessible to those with transportation barriers, scheduling challenges, medically fragile children, and more.

Naturally, a collective force of individuals centered around a mission to help people and make a difference, the goal to expand services was bound to follow. Two decades after the first patient treatments, Tilton's Therapy was conceived in 2019 to fulfill the dreams of including patients of all ages and diagnoses across all the metropolitan areas of Nevada. Since 2020, the combined forces of our incredibly skilled therapists have made a community impact by delivering an average of 28,745 hours of therapy intervention a year!

Pablo Picasso said, "The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away." As the CEO of this incredible company, I am honored and inspired to be surrounded by so many phenomenal people who live by this philosophy, showing up each day to share their gifts with the world. As a company, we strive to support our therapists in doing what they do best: delivering high-quality therapy to you! We are helping over 500 patients live their lives to the fullest by addressing their barriers to maximal independence. We came back to occupational therapy's inception to treat clients with mental health diagnoses, even being an integral part of the court-directed programs to help those with severe mental illness, addiction, and other comorbidities find recovery and independence! Our Tilton's therapists provide care to all patients, including those recovering from a stroke or knee surgery, to children with Autism or Down syndrome, address neurological diseases like Muscular Dystrophy and Multiple Sclerosis, and mental health diagnoses including Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia, and everything in between.

As we celebrate 25 years of exceptional care delivery for pediatrics and five years of expanded services, we can reflect on the incredible vision of our founder and the powerful impact of our collective skilled clinicians and know we are truly better together. Of course, this dream becoming a reality was only made possible by the referrals from neighboring physicians and community partners who entrust us with servicing their patients and members. Most importantly, thank you to our patients who invite us into your lives, homes, daycares, and neighborhoods to allow us to work within your team to support your family members best. We love what we do, and thank you for the opportunities!
