Our Monthly Mindfulness Exercises + Journaling activity encourages individuals to engage in daily mindfulness exercises and journaling. It promotes mental health, stress management, self-awareness, and cognitive functioning.

Instructions:

  1. Download the printable mindfulness exercise prompts (download our app to get this and so many other activities).

  2. You can do the prompts in the order they are listed or cut them out and shuffle them to choose a random prompt.

  3. Each day, perform the mindfulness exercise listed.

  4. Afterward, write your thoughts, feelings, and observations in your journal.

  5. Reflect on your experiences at the end of each week, noting any changes in your stress levels, mood, or general well-being.

Journaling Prompts:

  1. What emotions did you experience during today's mindfulness exercise?

  2. How did your body physically respond to today's exercise?

  3. Describe any thoughts that distracted you during your mindfulness practice.

  4. How did the mindfulness exercise impact your mood?

  5. Did you find today's mindfulness exercise challenging? If so, why?

  6. What did you learn about yourself from today's exercise?

  7. How can you apply what you learned from today's mindfulness exercise to your everyday life?
