How to Use This Worksheet
This activity is divided into three types of cards. You can complete all of the cards at once, or tackle one card a day!
The Category Race: Read the category and try to write down three distinct items that fit. Tip: If you get stuck, describe the item you are thinking of to a loved one and see if they can help you find the exact word!
Finish the Phrase: Read the beginning of these classic idioms and fill in the blank. This exercises "automatic speech," relying on deeply ingrained memory pathways.
The Storyteller: Choose one prompt and spend 5 to 10 minutes telling the story out loud. Focus on speaking clearly, using descriptive words, and sharing your unique history.
For Caregivers and Loved Ones
If you are helping a family member with this worksheet, encourage them to take their time. The goal is not to rush through the answers, but to spark joyful memories and meaningful conversations. If they struggle to find a word in the category cards, offer a gentle hint (like the first letter of the word) rather than giving them the answer immediately.
