Mindful Sudoku Puzzle Practice

Mindful Sudoku Puzzle Practice is a therapeutic activity that combines the cognitive challenge of Sudoku with the calming practice of mindfulness. The game focuses on improving mental cognition and promoting mental health.

Instructions:

  1. Download and print the Mindful Sudoku sheets (available in our app). There are five puzzles in total, ranging from easy to hard. Each contains a puzzle and a mindfulness prompt.

  2. Begin by reading the mindfulness prompt and spending a few moments focusing on what it is asking you to do.

  3. Work on the Sudoku puzzle. The goal isn't necessarily to complete the puzzle quickly, but to focus on the process. Pay attention to each number you place, and if you find your mind wandering, gently bring it back to the game.

  4. Take breaks as needed to return to the mindfulness prompt and refocus your mind.

  5. Repeat this process until you've completed the Sudoku puzzle.

This activity promotes focus, problem-solving, and cognitive flexibility. It also encourages mindfulness, which can help to reduce stress and improve mental health.
