Multiple Sclerosis Education and Awareness
A disease called multiple sclerosis (MS) affects the central nervous system which is comprised of your brain and spinal cord. MS can be a slow progression of disability due to damage to the nerves in your brain or spinal cord. Nerves are protected by myelin, which forms a sheath around their fibers. MS creates an immune response and targets these protective coverings on the nerves.
Epilepsy Awareness
Epilepsy affects more than 65,000,000 people around the world annually. As the 4th most common neurological disorder, it is estimated that roughly 1 in 26 people will be diagnosed in their lifetime.

This month, we are shining a light on one of our talented Speech-Language Pathologists, Renée Losey! Renée obtained her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Nevada State College in Henderson, NV before moving to Reno, NV to pursue a Master’s in Speech-Pathology and Audiology.

Robert has worked as an occupational therapist assistant or in a similar position in the industry for 21 years. He has worked for 13 years full-time and the remainder part-time.

This month we are featuring new grad and occupational therapist, Arian Wiesen. Arian joined Tilton’s Therapy after obtaining her state licensure and has worked for the company for about 4 months. She is enjoying the work and the people she interacts with throughout the day. (I’d say this is a great start to her first occupational therapy job).
