Autism Awareness — Caregiver Support
Providing support for someone on the autism spectrum can be a lifelong commitment. While high-functioning adults, or those who need less support in their daily lives, may be able to live on their own and provide for themselves, those diagnosed with severe ASD are typically unable to live on their own and may require assistance from a guardian their entire life.
How Can Occupational Therapy Help You?
The month of April is Occupational Therapy month! We aim to bring awareness to others about the discipline of occupational therapy this month and throughout the year. Occupational therapists can work with individuals of all ages, throughout the lifespan.

This month, we are shining a light on one of our talented Speech-Language Pathologists, Renée Losey! Renée obtained her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Nevada State College in Henderson, NV before moving to Reno, NV to pursue a Master’s in Speech-Pathology and Audiology.

Our featured team member this month is Robert Buhl, COTA!
Robert has worked as an occupational therapist assistant or in a similar position in the industry for 21 years. He has worked for 13 years full-time and the remainder part-time.

We’re excited that our team has began servicing the Northern Nevada communities this month/ We looking forward to working with new clients and helping them to achieve maximum independence in their lives.

This month we are featuring new grad and occupational therapist, Arian Wiesen. Arian joined Tilton’s Therapy after obtaining her state licensure and has worked for the company for about 4 months. She is enjoying the work and the people she interacts with throughout the day. (I’d say this is a great start to her first occupational therapy job).
