This month, we are featuring our amazing Physical Therapist, Emily Walthers von Alten!

Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Kinesiology before proceeding to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, both at UNLV. In 2018, Emily started working with Tilton’s Therapy as she was easily inspired to work with kids in their natural environment after seeing children persevere and improve with therapy regardless of obstacles they face.

Our featured team member this month is Occupational Therapist, Megan Tabano!

Megan has been an Occupational Therapist for about five years and started with the Tilton’s Therapy team in 2020. Growing up with parents who were in the medical field as a nurse and a paramedic, she was always drawn to become part of the medical field as well.

For the month of June, we are featuring team member and Physical Therapist, Jena Espinosa! Jena received a Bachelor of Exercise Science from the University of Mary, Bismarck, ND before proceeding to earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the same university. She is celebrating a decade of working as a Physical Therapist!

This month, we are featuring team member Melissa Sander, Occupational Therapist!

For this month, our featured team member is Physical Therapist, Francisco Segura!

Francisco has experience working in pediatric Physical Therapy for three years. He also has two years of experience working in neuro-rehab (inpatient and outpatient), as well as two years of acute rehab experience. Initially, Francisco was drawn toward Physical Therapy when he would accompany his aunt to her appointments and help with interpretation. He likes that the Physical Therapist would listen and spend more time providing patient care.

Established in 1982, the Lindy Boggs Award recognizes the significant contributions by an OT or OTA in promoting occupational therapy in the political arena by increasing recognition of occupational therapy in federal or state legislation, regulations, and/or policies or by increasing appreciation and understanding of occupational therapy by elected or appointed officials. One award may be provided each year.

We are featuring one of our newest team members this month, Ian Camahalan, Physical Therapist Assistant! Ian is embarking on his career as a Physical Therapist Assistant with over a year of experience as he joins the Tilton’s Therapy team.

This month, we are featuring one of our awesome Physical Therapists, Lauren Gibson!

Lauren has been working as a physical therapist for over four years. She loved the idea of working one-on-one with people and being able to see the difference you are making in their lives. 

It has been Tilton’s Therapy’s pleasure throughout the year of 2021 to provide outstanding mobile Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy services to our adult and mental health clients and families.

This month, our featured team member is Jocelyn Wells, Speech-Language Pathologist. Jocelyn received her Master's in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Nevada, Reno. When Jocelyn was in college, she knew she wanted to work with children, but did not have a desire to become a teacher.

Please be aware there are changes from the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) affecting all providers in the state of Nevada. They have called for a random re-assignment of members of Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) to be more evenly distributed amongst the four plans.

This month, we are featuring one of our wonderful Occupational Therapists, Danielle Palmer!

Danielle began her career in Occupational Therapy in an outpatient pediatric clinic in 2016. From there she was able to branch out into early intervention services. Danielle also had the opportunity to work overseas in Germany at a US Air Force Base with early childhood and school-aged children.

We’re highlighting Occupational Therapist Leslie McGannon for this month’s featured team member!

Leslie was born in California and settled down in Colorado Springs, CO at six years old. In 1989, she graduated from Colorado State University and in 1994, moved to Las Vegas, NV. Leslie loves Las Vegas, and considers it to be her home.

This month, we are shining a light on one of our talented Speech-Language Pathologists, Renée Losey! Renée obtained her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Nevada State College in Henderson, NV before moving to Reno, NV to pursue a Master’s in Speech-Pathology and Audiology.

Our featured therapist this month is Brittany Vargas, Occupational Therapist Assistant!

Brittany has been working in this industry or in a related position for three years. She was a member of the first graduating OTA class at Pima University. Brittany joined the Tilton’s Therapy Team in August of 2020.

Our featured team member this month is Heather Karchefski, Speech-Language Pathologist.

Heather graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2017. She has been practicing in pediatrics since graduating four years ago and in outpatient pediatrics for three years. Heather was originally drawn to the profession after working as a nanny to a child who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

This month we are featuring one of our amazing speech-language pathologists, Theresa Grimes! Theresa has always loved children and knew she had a passion for helping others. The career path of speech therapy was the perfect fit and she has been working as a speech-language pathologist since 2001.

Our featured team member this month is Robert Buhl, COTA!

Robert has worked as an occupational therapist assistant or in a similar position in the industry for 21 years. He has worked for 13 years full-time and the remainder part-time.

This month our featured team member is physical therapist, Julie Dendy! Julie earned a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Houston, TX.

This month, we are highlighting one of our amazing team members, Tina Walker!

Beginning in January 2020, Tina joined the administration team part time. Once the adult market in Southern Nevada and the Northern Nevada market began to grow, Tina took on a full time role with Tilton’s Therapy. The aspect she enjoys most about her job is the flexibility and the ability to work from home.
